On-Demand Multi Jet Fusion 3D Printing From Zeal 3D

Multi Jet Fusion 3d printing or MJF is a modern and innovative additive manufacturing technology from HP. Ideal for prototyping and manufacturing, MFJ has become a highly-popular method across industries. Zeal 3D Printing offers full-fledged and bespoke MJF 3d printing services to meet all your on-demand requirements with excellence.

What is Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) 3d printing?

MJF 3d printing is a modern powder-bed additive manufacturing method popularly used as a manufacturing strategy to create custom geometries. MJF offers excellent surface finishing in a shorter turnaround time.

In MJF technology, the printer binds the powder and the agent, similar to the binder jetting process. However, MJF selectively distributes the fusing agents and detailing across the bed, unlike the point-by-point system. Then, the layers get fused using infrared light. In this process, MJF printers lay down a material layer on the printing bed and following this, an inkjet nozzle runs across the powder bed and deposits both fusing and detailing agents. Zeal 3D Printing offers highly customisable MJF solutions to ensure your design becomes a reality with state-of-the-art precision.

How does the MJF process work?

The working of MJF 3D printing technology is quite simple. The printer deposits detailing agents and binding droplets across the pre-heated polymer powder layers. In this process, the binder functions as a heat-absorbing ink. It allows the material powder to melt quickly and bind.

Every layer gets fused using an intense infrared and being held using the binding agent. The detailing agent enables the cooling effect that provides a sharp edge around the melted areas during the process. It is primarily to prevent a melt-pool from turning into a loose powder.

Further, the powder is distributed on the top of every solid layer as it supports the part without a support structure. The multi jet fusion printing process enables engineers to have higher design freedom and creativity even while working on large quantities.

Popular MJF Materials

Zeal 3D Printing offers more than 45 materials to make your product with desired aesthetics and functionality. If you require some custom materials, we can arrange them also without any MOQ. Some of the popular MJF materials are:

  • Jet Fusion PA12
  • Ultrasint® TPU01
  • Jet Fusion PP
  • PA11 HP
  • HP Premium Nylon PA12
  • PA12GB

Advantages of MJF 3D printing

  • It offers a faster production cycle
  • Accurate printing for intricate details
  • Low individual print expenditure
  • Higher design flexibility & no supports are required
  • Excellent surface finish

Applications of MJF 3D Printing in Different Industries

MJF is a powerful 3d printing technology offering several flexible and efficient applications across multiple industries:

  • In Automotive: MJF is used for rapid prototyping, tooling, and car parts manufacturing. It helps reduce the time and cost associated with traditional manufacturing methods.
  • In the Medical Industry : MJF 3D printing is used to develop and produce medical devices, implants, and prosthetics. MJF is efficient in printing complex shapes and maintaining the desired accuracy and surface finish.
  • In Aerospace: MJF is used to develop aircraft and spacecraft parts. MJF offers excellent strength and stiffness to weight ratio, essential for aerospace applications.
  • In Electronics: MJF is ideal for manufacturing enclosures for electronic components. In addition, MJF offers high precision and detail, which is essential for accurate electronics components design development.
